The Board of Directors of Hysan Development Company Limited announces that Mr. Siu Chuen Lau, Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, has decided to step down from his present roles as from the conclusion of the Company’s Board Meeting on Tuesday, 2 August 2016.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Siu Chuen for his leadership as Hysan’s Chief Executive Officer for the past four years,” said Ms. Irene Lee, Executive Chairman of the Company. “His efforts have transformed Lee Gardens into one of Hong Kong’s most dynamic retail and office districts. He has helped build a strong base here for the Hysan team to grow. I am pleased that Siu Chuen will remain on the Board in a non-executive role to further contribute to Hysan’s future.”
“I would like to thank my Chairman and the Board for their advice and support, and the management for their hard work and contribution in the past four years,” said Mr. Lau. “The Company is in good shape and in good hands. It is, therefore, an appropriate time for me to step down from my full executive capacity and devote more time to my personal commitments. I will remain on the Board as a non-executive director and will work with the Company to ensure a smooth transition,” said Mr. Lau.
A search process for Mr. Lau’s replacement has commenced, and Ms. Lee will continue to lead the Hysan team in her executive role.
